COLLECTORS NOTE: I’ve only seen evidence of one other example of this 7″ radio promo being for sale on the market. That was maybe 15 years ago, and it is quite possibly the very same item that I purchased 2 years ago and is shown here. 7″ radio promos were primarily used in the 1970s by film distribution companies to promote a movie. United Artists and Warner Brothers were the main companies to use this method. The 7″ discs would be sent to DJs for playing on air between songs. The items were essentially disposable, and were treated that way. Subsequently, they can be rare items for collectors to find today. This item is in mint condition and somehow survived all these decades! Shown here with original press sheet for the 1970 ‘Ned Kelly’ film. Both items were used as part of the same promotional campaign.
